Mid Autumn Fun Facts
The Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival) falls on the 15th of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. This year, it falls on 10 September 2022.
With the beautiful full moon on the Mid-Autumn day, no wonder it's called the Moon Festival.
Traditionally, it was the celebration of the end of the Autumn harvest.
Nowadays, it's an occasion for family reunions and moon-viewing party while enjoying mooncakes and a pot of tea.
It's also a children's favourite festival as they can tote the laterns around the neighbourfood.
Mid Autumn Festival is celebrated in China, Singapore, and Vietnam (locally called "Tết Trung Thu").
For business partners and clients, it's best to send mooncakes before the actual Mid Autumn date.
For this year, it means getting your mooncake delivery sorted out in August 2022.
